About Zoe
Music is one of the most important things in my life, and it is for this reason that I made the decision to pass this amazing skill onto those who wish to learn it.
My lessons are fun, interesting & tailored to each students needs. Everybody is welcome to study music with me – you don’t have to do exams, but you will need to put some practise in on your part!
I have been playing the classical guitar since I was about 4 or 5 years old when I received a half-sized guitar for christmas one year from my Dad and Mum. My Dad already played the guitar, one of my earliest memories is of falling asleep listening to him play. Which did leave me with one or two issues, because even now – to this day, some 19 years later if I hear one of those particular pieces I associate with that time – my eyes start to droop and before long I could well be snoozing!
I began learning the Clarinet whilst at middle school, but my real passion for it really began later in life when I came to realise how the music made me feel.
The piano was a skill my sisters and I shared, we started lessons again quite early on – I was probably about 8 or 9. Whilst there were one or two arguments over whose turn it was to practise (but perhaps not as many as our parents would have liked), it was also a good motivator for me to keep practising to keep ahead of my sisters!
But there is no doubt, that as my skill in music has grown, my love for music has grown too.
