Piano Nottinghamshire

I have been playing the piano since the mid 1980’s, and whilst other instruments have come and gone in my life, this is one that has remained! I now not only enjoy still playing this instrument, but also offering lessons for the piano. Nottinghamshire is one of the areas I cover.

There is something tantalising about a piano, positioned either in the corner of a hotel bar, or in pride of place in the foyer or lounge. And just as alluring is when a person drifts up to the instrument, and with a gentle touch of the keys, sits down to play. It doesn’t matter if the piece is well-known and you are familiar with the music or not, but the calm insertion of the music through the instrument and into the immediate atmosphere can inspire many people to say “oh I wish I could play the piano!”

How many times have you been at an event, wedding reception, or in a restaurant with a pianist in residence, playing skilfully on the piano keys? The piano lends itself to any setting, whether for background music, or more involved recitals demanding every part of the listener’s awareness.

Learning to play the piano can be involved and complex, but a good piano tutor will show and reveal to you the easiest way for you to conquer the piano, so there is no reason other than your own limits, not to have a go at learning this wonderful instrument! With the many compact digital pianos on the market, the excuse that “there isn’t the room” can no longer be used, as these models are not only very small, but are also less picky about where they are situated in a home complete with the trappings of central heating systems to the more delicate traditional wooden pianos!

Sergei Rachmaninoff, Frederic Chopin, Claude Debussy, Ludwig van Beethoven and Wolfgang Mozart are to name but a few very famous classical pianists and composers. More contemporary pianists are such as Scott Joplin, George Gershwin, Freddie Mercury, Tori Amos, Myleene Klass and Elton John. There are so many pianists to choose from – so this is by no means a comprehensive list!
