Piano Nottingham
I have been playing the piano since the mid 1980’s, and whilst other instruments have come and gone in my life, this is one that has remained! I now not only enjoy still playing this instrument, but also offering lessons for the piano. Nottingham is one of the areas I cover.
There is something invitingly tantalising about a piano, sat in the corner of a hotel bar, foyer or lounge. And just as exquisite is when a person wanders up to the instrument, and with a gentle touch of the keys, sits down to play. It doesn’t matter if you are familiar with the music or not, but the calm movement of the music through the instrument and into the surrounding atmosphere can inspire many people to say “oh I wish I could play the piano!”
How many times have you been at a reception, or in a restaurant with a pianist in residence, playing expertly on the piano keys? The piano lends itself to any setting, whether for background music, or more complex performances demanding every part of the listener’s attention.
Learning to play the piano can be intricate, but a good piano tutor will explain and demonstrate to you the easiest way for you of mastering the instrument, so there is no reason other than your own boundaries, not to give learning this wonderful instrument a go! With compact digital pianos on the market, the excuse that “we haven’t the room” cannot be used any more, as these models are not only very compact, but are also less fastidious about their location in a home complete with the dangers of central heating to the traditional models of wooden pianos!
Sergei Rachmaninoff, Claude Debussy, Frederic Chopin, Wolfgang Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven are to name but a few very famous classical pianists and composers. More contemporary pianists are such as Freddie Mercury, George Gershwin, Tori Amos, Scott Joplin, Elton John and Myleene Klass. There are so many pianists to choose from – so this is by no means a comprehensive list!
